“It was a really safe place to be vulnerable and honest about where you were in life. The theme of freedom in God was exactly what I needed to hear, and God really spoke to me through it. It was such a great bonding time to get to know people from your campus better and to make new friends, and the Lifelines leaders were awesome and always there for you when you needed to talk. I hope they do this retreat every year!” 

“I NEEDED this, I didn’t realize it until today, but God spoke to me so much throughout the day. I am SO excited to use these skills in leading my small group and outreach. Can’t thank you guys enough.”

I was cynical coming into this weekend, but prayed that God would surprise me. And yep, He did. God is real, and it’s really sweet.

This retreat gave me the courage to open up about my sin. I had the mentality that if I just kept it between me and God it would get figured out. But I was inspired by the talk about repentance to bring it up and share with some of my Cru friends. And I am so glad I did.
